CapSwitcher

Southern States, LLC introduces the 38 kV CapSwitcher®, extending our line of capacitor switches from 15.5 kV through 170 kV.   The 38 kV CapSwitcher® includes closing resisitors for reducing voltage transients and inrush currents during capacitor switching operations.   Its compact design makes it ideal for mounting on the capacitor bank's rack.

F6 Horizontal Circuit Switcher

Southern States LSH and LSH-B horizontal interrupter line switchers provide load breaking, loop splitting, and line dropping capabilities for your most critical line switching applications. Additional applications include transformer magnetizing current interrupting and cable switching. Both the LSH and the LSH-B feature multi-time fault closing capability and circuit making within the interrupter.

The LSH and the LSH-B are also well suited for such special purpose applications as reactor switching or series capacitor bypassing. The LSH is a non-blade model unit while the LSH-B is a blade model unit whose interrupters mount in series with an integral, vertical break disconnect switch.

The LSH and the LSH-B can be installed on a Southern States furnished support structure with a wide variety of structure height and phase spacing combinations to suit essentially any installation requirement or can be adapted to many existing support structures--even for installations requiring vertical or inverted mounting of the line switcher. The LSH and the LSH-B can be operated manually via a gear crank operator or electrically via a motor operator.

LLS-II Load & Line SwitcherS

LLS-II Load & Line Switchers provide load breaking, loop splitting, and line dropping reliably and cost effectively. The LLS-II is also well suited for use in transformer magnetizing current interrupting, cable switching, and reactor switching applications. Key features of this product include single gap SF6 puffer interruption at all kV ratings, 2000 full load operations, and visible dielectric indication.

The LLS-II can be supplied on any Southern States group operated vertical break switch (72.5 kV through 242 kV) or for installation on essentially any manufacturer's group operated vertical break switch (72.5 kV through 242 kV) and can be operated either manually via a gear crank operator or electrically via a motor operator.

The patented LLS-II is readily adaptable to existing vertical break switches already in service or on hand in customer inventory. The LLS-II converts these vertical break switches from non-load break to load break or replaces existing vacuum interrupters or oil interrupters on load break switches.

The LLS-II can also be used to replace existing V2-LB Line Switchers, dramatically enhancing the reliability and ratings performance of the installation. Whether for new installations or for retrofits on existing vertical break switches, the LLS-II is the right choice for your load breaking, loop splitting, line dropping, transformer magnetizing current interrupting, cable switching, and reactor switching applications.
